On October 16th, Stella’s “funcle” Mike ran the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon for SMA research and Stella. Mike was helping to raise money for The Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (FSMA). Stella enjoyed watching the runners and then a tasty brunch afterwards to celebrate! Way to go Mike!!!

We had been working with Stella’s Occupational Therapist since the summer to get Stella a bath seat. This will assist us in bathing her safely and with greater ease. On the weekend of September 17/18th fourteen SMA families got together in Hanover, ON at the McDonald’s. We had an amazing time seeing friends, eating and playing.
